Delete your account

From the app

1. Open Doio and go to the Profile tab.
2. Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete account.
3. Optionally tell us why you're leaving, then tap Request deletion.

We confirm by SMS once your account has been deleted, within 30 days and usually much sooner. Your account keeps working until then.

If you cannot access the app

Email support@doio.in with the phone number registered to the account. We will verify that the request comes from you before acting on it — this protects you from someone else deleting your account. Requests are completed within 30 days.

What is deleted

• Your profile: name, profile photo and gender.
• Your saved places and emergency contact.
• Your chat messages and support tickets.
• For captains: your driving licence, vehicle RC, ID proof and selfie, your vehicle details and your saved bank details.
• For Self Drive owners: your vehicle listings, papers and photos.
• Your push notification token and any stored location data.

What is kept, and why

Two categories survive deletion, both because Indian law requires it rather than because we want them:

• Financial records — completed trips, rentals, payments, wallet transactions and captain payouts, retained for the statutory period for tax and audit. They are kept as transaction records, not as a usable profile.
• Safety records — SOS alerts and records of accounts banned for serious safety violations, retained so incidents can be investigated and the same person cannot simply sign up again.

Wallet balance and earnings

Please use any wallet balance, and captains should withdraw their earnings, before requesting deletion. If you have a balance left when you ask to delete your account, write to support@doio.in and we will help you with it — see Refunds & Cancellations.

Can I undo it?

No. Once your account has been deleted it cannot be restored. If you join again later, you start with a new account.
